Finding sounds to use with Farrago

Farrago includes sample sound sets to show off what the app can do, but it's likely you'll want to make your own custom sets. You can create new sounds and audio clips to use in Farrago, even recording them with our own Audio Hijack. You can also import existing songs and other recordings into Farrago.

Farrago also includes two integrations to help you find sounds. First, it can search and import sounds from Freesound, a massive database of tens of thousands of different sounds. In addition, if you have either Apple’s Logic Pro or their free GarageBand installed, Farrago can also offer up Apple Loops for use right inside the app.

Of course, you can also locate millions of different sound effects by manually searching the web. In addition to the aforementioned Freesound.org, ZapSplat has a smaller library of tremendously high-quality audio. Check out these sites and others like them to find just what you need.

Note: Many sounds on the web are royalty-free, but licenses vary. Be sure to check the license terms for any audio you wish to use.

Licensing Info

The Farrago 1 sample sets contain sounds created by many talented sound designers, who graciously share their work with the world at large through Freesound.org. The following sounds are used (usually with minor modifications to length):
