General: Reverting your Apple Silicon-based Mac’s “Startup Security Policy” to its default state

Between MacOS 11 and MacOS 14, running Airfoil, Audio Hijack, Loopback, or Piezo, or SoundSource on an Apple Silicon-based Mac required adjusting the Startup Security Policy to be changed from the default Full Security setting to Reduced Security.

With updates we released in 2024, this adjustment ceased to be necessary. If you’re running our latest versions on MacOS 14.5 or higher, you can now restore your Mac to its default Full Security state if you wish.
