SoundSource 4.1 Adds Dark Mode Support and Much More

Boston, MA - Just two months ago, we shipped SoundSource 4, a powerful audio control for MacOS. We've received feedback from thousands of customers, and been hard at work on a major update.

Today we're delighted to be shipping SoundSource 4.1. Here's what it looks like (in Dark Mode):

Here's a brief look at some of the major changes in SoundSource 4.1:

Dark Mode Support
With its optional new Dark theme, SoundSource will fit in perfectly on every Mac.

Output Volume in Menu Bar
SoundSource's menu bar icon can now provide a simplified approximation of the current output volume, and even show when the output device is entirely muted.

Easier Control of Special Audio Sources
Many users wanted to adjust audio in the Finder, as well as the OS's “Text to Speech” functionality. These special sources are now a snap to control.

More Polish
This update includes over 30 distinct improvements designed to please our users. From better handling of Bluetooth devices to a more obvious background state, this update is beautifully polished.

Bug Fixes Galore
When it comes to software, the only good bug is a dead bug. We worked tirelessly to squash bugs in this update, fixing several (thankfully rare!) crashing issues, and making many other improvements.

Additional Details

SoundSource runs on MacOS 10.11 (El Capitan) and higher, and a free, fully-functional trial available for download. During the trial, the quality of audio adjusted by SoundSource will be degraded after 20 minutes.

SoundSource costs just $29 for new users, while users of SoundSource 3 are still eligible for a discounted $19 upgrade.
