Rogue Amoeba Unveils Nicecast 1.0 - You're On The Air!

Princeton, NJ - Rogue Amoeba Software is pleased to present Nicecast 1.0, the easiest way to broadcast audio on OS X. Use Nicecast to broadcast any audio to the far reaches of the globe, or just across your house. Nicecast can help you create your own internet radio station or simply allow you to listen to your iTunes Music Library from anywhere in the world!

You can use an audio player like iTunes to DJ hour after hour of your favorite music or just to let your friends hear that new song you've been working on. The included VoiceOver effect lets you insert radio-style commentary, right between songs. Radio on your Macintosh has never been this easy or this much fun. Broadcast events live or host a call-in show - anything you can plug into your Mac can also be broadcast out. Want to broadcast your band's next gig? Just plug in a cable from the mixer to your laptop, and run Nicecast. Nicecast is perfect for every type of audio broadcasting.

Rogue Amoeba would also like to invite users to come visit them at Booth #2513 at MacWorld San Francisco. We'll be there all week demonstrating all of our products, so stop by and say hello. Finally, two recent updates need mentioning, Audio Hijack Pro 1.2.6 and Detour 1.2.3. These minor updates add some small features and fix many bugs, and are recommended for all users.

Nicecast Availability and Links

Nicecast is available as a free trial, downloadable from https://rogueamoeba.com/nicecast/. After 20 minutes of broadcasting, static will be overlaid on the audio.

Nicecast can be purchased at our online store for an introductory price of $30 ($40 after December 31st, 2003).
